Solutions for orthopedic pain don’t always involve surgery. Elite Specialty Care’s orthopedic surgeons work with our specialists in pain management to test non-surgical treatment options first. This may include joint injections or nerve blocks. The goal of these types of treatments is to relieve pain and other symptoms of an orthopedic condition or injury, without having to operate the area and go through the associated downtime of recovery. Although surgery may be the only option for some of the more complex injuries or conditions, our doctors may prefer a patient to try non-surgical techniques first. Avoiding surgery is preferred, but only if the non-surgical option is able to address the source of the problem.

The surgeon inserts special, equally-tiny instruments to look inside the joint, diagnose the problem, and decide what surgery needs to be done. Using minimally-invasive techniques like arthroscopic surgery allows for quicker recoveries and less downtime following your procedure, as there is less trauma to the body, less risk of complication, and less pain overall.
